Came back nice and refreshed.   New video card, new digital camera, new pics.  Didn't like what I saw. This site, although always a source of political controversy, has allowed politics relating to the war in Iraq to become a too "in-your-face".  It's difficult to find a page now (even among those I watched) where someone isn't trashing U.S. foreign policy or the like.  The first thing I saw on the main page today was a manip of the U.S. flag with the burnt face of a child superimposed on it.  Don't get me wrong, I support everyone's right to speak their mind, but come on.  Enough is enough. I turn to art and photography for a refreshing br

Been away for a bit and it looks like the circumstances forcing me to stay away will continue at least through the end of this year.  Video card's on its last leg.  Only symptom so far is dark streaking across the screen.  It's bad enough to make even the smallest photo touchup almost impossible.

Gettin' sick of noise from my el cheapo scanner.  Gotta get a film scanner.  I know, I know.  I'll still get noise.  Yes, but it won't be nearly as bad.
